Take the 2012 Skepchick Census!

Every two years, we’ve issued a census for our beloved readers. Here’s the link to this year’s! It’s only 25 questions and in about a week you’ll get to see the juicy results. It shouldn’t take you long to complete, and it’s totally anonymous. Please be as accurate as you can, since your answers will help us determine how we’re doing and how we can continue to improve in the future.

Thanks!

Note: some question options were taken from this survey created by veerserif of r/shitredditsays.

  1. I am pretty sure that I am not the target demographic, but I do enjoy skepchick.org.  Thanks for asking.
SWMBO and I have eight salukis and one very brave cat, none of which seem impressed with your selection of "best" animals.

    1. Dear Rebecca,
The Ask Surly Amy features are MY favorite!! You should have them always.
      Love,
      Laika

  2. Amy Has a good point.
    Steve has a better point.
Therefore I skewed the (animal) data on purpose.

  3. Hmph. Even my top TEN or so best animals (which includes tree lobsters) aren't listed!
But I said tree kangaroos so Rebecca would like me. :o)

    1. Um, hate ta' tell you this but otters aren't real.
They're merely a trick of the light like the "face" on Mars or the "arms" on Venus.
      Everyone knows that.
Go ahead and include them if ya want but don't blame me when the rest of
the skeptical community guffaws at your expense.

  4. You could have phrased the race/ethnicity questions soley on ethnicity instead of relying on the repugnant concept of "race" and "white".

    1. Ziggy66, this movement has well-achknowledge issues regarding race, and we probably don't have a better chance of addressing them by pretending that race does not exist (as a social construct, if nothing else).

  5. It’s probably not your fault, but survey’s user interface sucks: you cannot check a checkbox/radiobutton by clicking on it’s label. This just isn’t right :)
