How can a city, anywhere in the world, simply ban dying? I mean, unless you're committing sucide, which is far from the most common cause of death, no one chooses, when or where they're going to die. How does that even make sense to have such a law, when over 90% of the time, people don't choose to die? Even ignoring the morality of committing sucide, even when things are really hopeless, and you're in severe pain, how does that make sense at all?
Well, I get the impression from the (admittedly sketchy) article that the whole thing is a bit of a PR-snipe at the neighboring town, because of a dispute over cemetary grounds. That said, I hope they were smart and made it punishable by execution, because that would be AWESOME.
And the punishment for attempted dying should be life. (But in unsupervised parole, only to be revoked if you successfully commit dying.)
