  4. So I'm a college teacher. I frequently provide feedback to my students using our online course management software. It sounds like that would be enough to get me fined if a student was "annoyed" with the grade I gave them.
    Given the failure of the "Atheist." bus ads I bet people could go after all kinds of these groups web presence under this law.
     

    1. No, as I read it, you have to use lewd or oscene language or threaten physical harm to them or their property – and even then you must have intent.
      I intended no offence to Donald Trump when I said what I did the other day, BTW…..the arm of the Dark Lord has grown long indeed.

    How can a city, anywhere in the world, simply ban dying?  I mean, unless you're committing sucide, which is far from the most common cause of death, no one chooses, when or where they're going to die.  How does that even make sense to have such a law, when over 90% of the time, people don't choose to die?   Even ignoring the morality of committing sucide, even when things are really hopeless, and you're in severe pain, how does that make sense at all?

    1. Well, I get the impression from the (admittedly sketchy) article that the whole thing is a bit of a PR-snipe at the neighboring town, because of a dispute over cemetary grounds.  That said, I hope they were smart and made it punishable by execution, because that would be AWESOME.

      1. And the punishment for attempted dying should be life.  (But in unsupervised parole, only to be revoked if you successfully commit dying.)
