Geek Girl Con

Hello friends!

This is just a quick plug for a really great, first-of-its-kind event that I will be participating in this weekend called Geek Girl Con!

Click below to find out the fabulous details!

What: Geek Girl Con

When: October 8th and 9th

Where: The Seattle Center Northwest Rooms and EMP Museum

Also: On Sunday at 11am in the Fidalgo Room I will be participating in a panel discussion called Skepticism 101. We will be tackling many of the pseudoscientific topics targeted at women such as astrology, crystal healing, women’s intuition, anti-vaccination and psychics. This panel was put together by the fabulous Jen McCreight of Blag Hag and will be moderated by the head of the Seattle Skeptics, Paul Case. Other panelists include; Dana Hunter, Valerie Tarico, Meg Winston and of course the ass-kickin’ and name-takin’ Ms McCreight. Please join us!

I will also have a Surly-Ramics table in the vendor room and it looks like I will be in good company. So stop by and say hello! Did I mention the entire event is only $45 or $30 for a day pass. True!

There is also a geek-girl concert with Marian Call, Molly Lewis and the Double Clicks on Friday night that looks really cool.

You can go to the Geek Girl Con website for more info.

See you in Seattle!

    1. Do you want to try to meet-up and say hello, by the way? I wish there was a way to exchange e-mail addresses here without everyone seeing them… hrm. I guess I could offer the old Boyname one I don’t really use anymore and then use that one to send you my new address! [email protected]… I’m also trying to figure out a place to stay on Saturday night, which is the big wonky detail that’s messing my plans up (I was going to be staying with a friend in Olympia, but that’s suddenly looking like it might not happen, so I’m trying to come up with alternatives). So if you have any leads, that would be a big help!

  1. I’m very-very-probably going to be there! Trying to sort out some details that got kind of wonky at the last minute, but yep, I’m doing everything I can to make it. :)
