Quick NECSS Update

Really, I promise. Everyone is fine at Skepchick HQ. I have totally not taken over and am not holding the blog hostage or anything. You shouldn’t expect ransom demands or anything. Yet.

I just wanted to send out a quick reminder and update about NECSS which is coming up this weekend! Rebecca, Amy and I will be there, we’ll have awesome raygun t-shirts and it’s going to be fantastic. One change of plans though: The Drinking Skepchickally that is currently scheduled for Friday night has changed venues.

The new location will be Dewey’s Flatiron at 210 5th Avenue in between 25th and 26th St. The second floor mezzanine section has been reserved for us starting at 8PM.

For all the details, check out the NECSS site! Hopefully we’ll see lots of you there!

  2. Is that going to fit everybody? I went there for the meetup before NECSS 1, and we got there late and most had left and it was still a bit crowded.

  3. @Sc00ter: The venue was organized as part of the NECSS Drinking Skeptically program. I don’t know much about it but I’m sure we’ll make do. It’s always hard to know how many people to expect for these sorts of events :)

  4. Just a question, but is there anything that the skepchicks are skeptical about regarding established medicine, diet, law, or the ever popular, “just drink in moderation” attitude that seems to pervade life in America and elsewhere today?
