Skepticism

Where’d Elyse go? (hint: It’s St Louis)

PEEKABOO!

I’m still here. I’m around. And I’m busier than any human should be… which means that it’s all work a normal person with normal organizational skills could handle, but I’m not that. And I juggle babies all day. While saving the world. So it’s a lot of work.

But if you want to catch up with me, you should go to St. Louis this weekend. Because that’s where I’ll be speaking at the Skeptic’s Society of St Louis’ Skeptics in the Pub. Conveniently located in St. Louis.

I’ll be giving a talk on skeptical slacktivism, and saving the world without having to put on pants. Because I never wear pants… except sometimes I do. Like now I’m wearing pants but that was because I was outside, and based on the letters I’ve received from them, the homeowners association has strict rules about bare-bottomed excursions throughout the neighborhood. I suppose that’s my own fault for moving into a neighborhood with a HOA. Lesson learned.

Anyway, I’ll be wearing pants at the pub. And I’ll be travelling there. And I’ll be talking about how I sit on my couch and leave my pants off to do all the work that I do. The irony is not lost on me… at least not since my mom pointed it out to me last weekend.

  1. And I juggle babies all day.

    Is that like cat juggling?

Are you a secret Juggelo? (Fuckin’ parenthood, how does that work?)

Sorry, I saw the joke and had to go for the jugular.

I could keep these balls in the air all day but I have to sit down some time. Ba-dum-bum.

I’ll stop now, I’m all pun.

  2. Gah! Can’t believe I lived in St Louis for so many years and never realized what a kick-ass freethought city it was! I totally took it for granted :( Have a great time at SitP! I’m super jealous!

  3. The chance to meet you drove me to get a Skepchick account and drive over to St Louis Sat. See you there!
