While not contrails, wingtip vortices can cause similar effect. As I’m sure you know, the people we deal with will use in slight mistake as ‘proof’ they are correct.
Minor point: If you’re addicted to the
War-PornHistory Channel like I am, you would have seen the footage of a thousand B-17’s heading for Germany many many times. Piston engines can create contrails, too.@Buzz Parsec: Don’t you mean the “Ancient Aliens” channel?

Sadly, that is my Senator, one of my local news stations and probably some of my neighbors. Sadly, I live near ground zero for stupid, religious people. It could be worse. They could be Muslim. Thank Zeus for small favors.
To be fair, you can watch much the same rubbish on any local news. ANY local news. However, I cannot watch that station. Hearing some glamourous moron go on and on and on about “tough questions”? gives me homicidal daydreams. Thank Odin for fences, fallout shelters and gun safes.

Our local news is the same thing. News and nutters and all too often, the two get blended together.
I’d like to say that local news is better in Canada, but sadly the ‘local news’ for pretty much the entire city I live in has devolved mostly into horror stories of what teenagers are allegedly doing when they go out, the latest weed busts and implicit partisan support for the “Liberal Party” (whose policies are about as liberal as the Democrats’) as well as the federal Conservatives whenever murky political issues are raised.
Suffice to say that I wholly lost faith in it when I turned it on one night (two days after Miley Cyrus was caught taking bong hits of salvia) and the ‘top story’ was about a woman who had a bad trip off salvia and wanted to go on the local news about it.
Aaaaaaaaand, it’s Fox5. Of course. At least this isn’t the worst I’ve seen from them. I don’t know if that’s good or bad.
There’s a clip in there from CBS too, Trotter. Hopefully, since YouTube has a bunch of whackadoodle chemtrail clips in your related videos, someone will see your video and think for a minute before repeating nonsense.

i was really hoping that in the story the reporter would go back to the group of conspiracy theorists after talking w/ the politician:
“he says they’re not spraying anything.”
“oh. okay. perhaps we were mistaken. it does sound kinda stupid when you think about it.”

I switched news channels one day to avoid the teased story of how, “Changes in astrology, and how they might affect you.” The joke was on me when the alternate news channel had a “Master Numerologist” on to discuss the importance of 1/11/11.

Having around 20,000 hours in the air mostly in jet aircraft I am constantly dazzled by the ignorance of the chemtrail crowd. How they imagine the “government” could carry out anything covert involving the airlines and their huge number of employees defies logic. The thing would spread through the aviation gossip mill to the whole industry in less than a day.
(Even though I have been happily married for 50 years I think I am in love with Rebecca. I would be proud to have you as a grand daughter).
^ You are so right saber (-40 or -60?) liner. Shit like this would spread throughout the industry at M.92 if it were true. These chemtrailers overestimate the abilities of humans to keep a secret – especially humans in aviation…
