Stuff: A Bit of a Chat, Science is Vital, and League of Reason

I met Ken Plume at DragonCon, and we hit it off marvelously. Among his many activities is a podcast called A Bit of a Chat, in which he talks to awesome people like Adam Savage, Tom Scharpling, Michael Kupperman, Bill Corbett, and Phil Plait. OH AND ME.

It’s long (I think we went for two hours) and not really about skepticism – or anything else – but lots and lots of fun. Listen to it now!

Also, I dropped by the Science Is Vital demonstration last week and was caught on tape by some lovely gentlemen doing interviews. Please note that I was really ill and had just biked 10 miles to be there, so I was less than sharp:

Finally, I’ll be on the League of Reason podcast again this Sunday at 8pm GMT. You can listen live and participate in the group chat when it gets going.

  1. Rebecca, the instrument you are talking about with Ken near the beginning, the keyboard you blow into, is called a “melodica”. Sometimes it’s called a “hooter” and it’s where the band The Hooters got their name. You can hear it prominently on their hit “And We Danced”.
