  1. Elyse, you seem to have given birth to an alien. Did you experience any “missing time” about a year ago? I know a great hypnotherapist that can bring out all the repressed memories.

  2. Love the third pic and captions. Very clever overall! Don’t take any alien baby comments seriously–they’re just jealous they’re not as cute as your baby.

  3. My 9 year old got pertussis last year. She’s fully vaxed. Before we got the dx, we had exposed my COPD mom and an immuno-compromised 3 yr old. Non-vaxers suck.

  4. Awww…. adorable! My local pharmacy gives Tdap vaccines at a reasonable cost, so I will be updating soon.

An interesting and informative video on herd immunity math. Enjoy. It is a bit skep-dickish but the graphics are worth it.

  5. I’ve been coming here for a year and a half and I finally registered just to say: That baby is SO FUCKING CUTE!!! I guess I’m gonna have to make sure I’m up on my vaccinations now.

  6. Holy FSM is she ever cute!

My doc recommended boosters for me a few years ago when I expressed concern about all the parents in our little community who don’t vaccinate their kiddos. I have asthma, and pertussis in particular could be very dangerous for an otherwise healthy adult.

I’m going to post a compilation of your awesome Why We Vaccinate series for the benefit of my five readers. Thanks for fighting the good fight.

So I just wanted to say BRAVO. That was an excellent strategy for getting your first comment approved! One of the best I’ve seen! :)

  8. @Elyse Its good to hear that my plan for taking over the world through kindly compliments of other peoples children is starting to bear fruit. MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA…cough hack wheez…

But yea thank you. And congratulations on having an adorable baby.

  9. Got my shot at DCon. Got a free shirt and discount on my new Surly because of it. That made it well worth the shot.
