Get Down With Your BAD Self!

Bad Universe that is!

This is just a reminder that our friend, The Bad Astronomer has a television show premiering on Sunday, August 29, at 10:00pm on the Discovery network and I encourage you to watch it! It is the pilot episode that will be airing and so we need as many people as possible to tune in so the show will get good ratings. If it does well the network will order more episodes and maybe even put more educational and fun shows like this on the air.

To encourage people to watch the show on Sunday, Phil and the Discovery network have created a fun promo/giveaway you can participate in. You get a chance at winning a real chunk of Sikhote-Alin meteorite that fell in Russia in 1947 AND a bunch of other super-cool Bad Astronomy swag. Go here to find out how to enter.

And if you haven’t seen it yet or like me just want to watch it again, here is the sneak-peak promo video for the new series!

  1. I wonder when they’ll show it on this side of the pond.

Also, I wonder what it means that I first typed in “bed universe” when I went to search for info on the discovery channel site.

  2. Kudos to Phil for crafting the most leading question ever spoken in English,

“So, you’re going to press the button?”

  3. Canada’s version of Discovery Channel hasn’t picked it up yet. We’re also way behind in Mythbusters episodes.
I hope it’s picked up for more episodes and we Canucks will actually get to see them all!
