Chicago <3's Physics!

Looking to have cool back to back physics weekends? Get to Chicago!

This weekend, thanks to the Chicago Council on Science and Technology, you have the chance to walk up to a Nobel Laureate on the street and ask him anything you’ve ever wanted to know about science! Seriously!

Sunday, Dr. Leon Lederman, Nobel Prize winning Physicist, will be standing outside the Wrigley Building from noon until 2pm just waiting for you to come up and ask him a question! Anything! How cool is that? You don’t need a ticket. You don’t have to pay for admission. You don’t need to sign up anywhere for anything… you just walk up to the guy who looks sciencey (preferably the guy who looks sciencey and looks like the picture here on the right) at the Wrigley Building!

I will give a free SurlyRamics necklace and a beer to anyone who gets video of themselves asking Dr. Lederman, “How cool is Elyse Anders?” And recording his response.

But hopefully you’ll ask him something that will help you next weekend when you go with my new organization to the Fermilab! Where, for the low low introductory price of just $30, you can get a behind the scenes tour of Fermi! Including PIZZA at Gino’s East! It’s real physics and real Chicago style pizza!

Remember that we only have room for 40 people, so you have to buy your ticket in the next ten minutes or they’ll all be gone!

Buy your tickets at the WTF shop: http://www.shop.womenthinkingfree.org/FermiLab-Tour-FermiTour.htm

Enjoy your back to back physics love weekends!

  1. Words can’t describe how cool this is. My eight year old daughter would bend his ear with astronomy questions for at least an hour.
