Quiz: Oprah, Chopra or The Pope-a?

Last week’s quiz, Deepak, 2pac or a Six Pack was so well-received that we had to do another. Thanks to commenter greenishblu for inspiring this week’s iteration! Note to those reading via RSS: you’ll have to click through to partake in the fun!

There are 17 questions, each one referring to either media tycoon Oprah Winfrey, quantum mystic Deepak Chopra, or Catholic Church leader Pope Benedict-the-Whateverth. Can you tell the difference?

  1. Damn. 8/17 “Just passed”
I’m off my game! I should have gotten the pope’s hat right. How did I screw that up?!
BUT, so much fun! Keep em’ coming.

  2. Thank dog, I only got 8/17. If I got more right, I would have to change my news habits. Three good examples of a waste of space.

  3. 9/17 Damn you, Pope-a and your stupid fucking hats! Just when I think that no way would the spiritual leader of a billion people wear the same hat as Jessie the Yodeling Cowgirl from Toy Story 2, he screws me again!

  4. 8/17, like most people.
Apparently, this one is quite a bit harder than the previous quiz.

  5. 12/17. I thought I would be happy but, instead, I feel like everyone else is going to say, “That SkepLit really knows his woo”.

  6. 13 outa 17. I’m improving! Soon, I will know all the ChOPRAH-tastic riddles and I will start my own religion… or talk show.

  7. 6/17 – FAIL!! And as with the last poll I could not be prouder. And despite my inability to score on these polls I think they should remain a regular feature.

  8. 9 / 17 – not too bad. Should have known the hats, I got only one of them right.

  9. 11/17!
The hat ones were the easiest ones. The pope always wears the silliest one.
Anyways, I did much better than the last one, which I sucked badly.

  10. Um, wow. 15/17. I guess I’m….proud? I only missed the 2nd and the last one. I need to go lie down and cry now…

  11. 10/17 I mixed up Oprah and the Pope’s hats. I figured the Pope wore a black hat at some point a la Father Guido Sarducci from SNL but no his holiness went with the Howdy Doody looking one. What is it with Catholics and ridiculous hats anyway?

  12. Mwa ha ha, no perfect scores yet! I’m hoping that once again I’ve struck a nice balance between tough but not pull-out-your-hair difficult…

  13. 10/17. I flat out guessed for all of these whereas I was certain about some answers on the last quiz. Love these quizzes!

  14. These Choprawoo quizzes are so much fun! My results always make me feel surprised, confused, and deeply, deeply depressed about the prospect of our survival as a species all at the same time. 9/17

  15. I’m going to take pride in my much less than perfect score. Do I really want to know that much about these folk? I do feel bad I got the hats wrong. (I was right about the crazy pope hat though.)

  16. I posted a meager 9/17 which I primarily attribute to my infinite knowledge of hats.

  17. 13/17. Is this a good test to be above the curve? Perhaps the quantum consciousness guided my hand?

Nah. I’ll stick with hanging out with Orac’s blog (and here, of course).

  18. As a student of the History of the Soviet Union, I think I must apologize on behalf of Mikhail Gorbachev. The man fucked up his entire country, but he had good intentions. But to give a science award to Deepak Chopra, that’s just not cool!

  19. Wow. That was a LOT harder than last week’s. I think because they’re all, the three of them, avid pushers of nonsense.

    Next week:
(LDS leader Thomas S.) Monson or (Jon) Ronson>

    or

Joe, Jenny, or Charlie? A McCarthy tripple-header

  20. 6 of 17. I actually feel good that I didn’t get more than that right. I would say that except for the red hat the other 5 were just by chance.

  21. “Nobody really knows what a gene is or how it works” LOL alllllrighty then.

That picture of the pope in the hat is…is… spectacular. He looks so jolly and proud of that bitchin’ red hat.

  22. My score does not define me. Which everyone knows means that I did crappily.

    I have an idea..

    Swayze, Jay-Z or Tom DeLay-Z?

I tried to put in James Randi…maybe Amaze-Z? I think I like it!!

  23. Maybe we should be putting these scores in our emails to the SGU instead our IQ as Rebecca suggested

    :D

  24. Meh, 7/17 for me. I’ve got to say, this is one test that I’m happy to score low on, it just means my woo filters are working.

I am a bit gutted about getting the Futurama question wrong though, considering the amount of Futurama I’ve watched, it’s pretty much unforgivable.

  25. I got 13 out of 17 on my second attempt. What does that say about me that I can’t even cheat properly.

I totalled nailed the Pope’s hat though.

  26. 9/17…. I’m satisfactory.

But I don’t *feel* satisfied… oh well, anything to not think about the election right now…
