What an exciting time we live in, friends!
If you live anywhere near Boston, you’d better be getting ready to see Richard Wiseman live and in person at The Brattle Theatre in Harvard Square tonight at 10pm! His recent stopover in New York got a nice write-up in the New Yorker, so you know he’s classy even though this talk is titled How to Have More Sex with Richard Wiseman. The skeptics will be meeting up prior to the show just downstairs at the Casablanca.
If you don’t live anywhere near Boston, well poor you. But, you can still listen to me live on Little Atoms, the radio show and podcast which I am now co-hosting here in jolly ol’ whatever. I’ll be on at 7pm with Professor Brian Cox and my co-host Neil Denny, and you can either listen live on Resonance 104.4FM or catch the podcast when it goes online later.

As a reminder to anyone coming to the Boston show:
There is a book signing included in the price of admission, BUT we only have a limited supply of books! If you want to get a signed book, be sure to pick up a copy at your local bookseller before you head to Harvard Sq., as the shops near there also seem to be low!
This is a pretty good sign for Richard, as his book is clearly selling well, but we also want everyone who WANTS an autograph to get one!
Must make a refreshing change to be recording a podcast at a reasonable hour rather than at 2am in the morning!
Yay! You’re co-hosting Little Atoms that’s so exciting! I’m actually listening to it right now, I’m listening from the beginning – still in 2007. I’m looking forward to when you start co-hosting, I loved the TAM London interviews you did with Neil Denny.
I caught (very nearly all of) Richard’s recent talk in Toronto just this past Monday – he’s an excellent, funny, and engaging speaker.
So in Boston, Richard Wiseman is speaking at a theatre. Here in Seattle he will be speaking in an adult book store (I don’t know why).
I live near Portland Maine and attended the event tonight. Fun, fun fun. There was a good crowd, Richard was both informative and entertaining as hell, and I listened to the Skeptic Zone on the way down and the SGU on the way back. It was a theme night.
At the bar prior, a highlight for me was listening to a molecular biologist challenge a PHD candidate in math to prove he was a skeptic. That was some damn good geeking.
I just want to say, on behalf of Boston Skeptics, thank you all SO much for coming. It was fantastic and you all made it so. And if we missed talking with any of you afterwards, please forgive us. We were quite giddy over the fact that we weren’t going to be in debt and had indeed paid for the theatre and that Richard had such a great time.
