  1. Rebecca, thanks a lot for sharing this news with the skepchick audience :-) As a co-organizer of the Spanish branch of the Skeptics in the Pub. I can only say we’re very excited to bring skepticism in such a way it’s both amusing and intellectually stimulating :-)

    We recently surpassed the 40-people figure so it’s going to be great fun.

    We hope to see you soon in Madrid, we now share pretty much the same time zone… (before you say anything… we were at London for New Year’s Eve but no Skeptic event took place those first days of January, alas!)

  2. I was in Madrid last May. How cool! Beautiful city with long held traditions, effected recently by transition and change. I’ve always wondered how skepticism , as a formal movement ( Europeans , in general, are already less attached to organized religion than Americans; for instance, they are amused when Presidents conclude addresses with “God Bless America ” ) is manefested in non English language dominant countries.

    Do you know the answer to that Rebecca?
