Tonight: The Last 9 Lessons and Carols for Godless People!

I know there are a number of you who are attending tonight’s final, big show at the Hammersmith, so let’s hang out! (Even if you’re not going to the show, you can come, of course, but why the eff aren’t you going to the show?)

There are a string of nice little pubs along the river by Hammersmith. Let’s meet at The Blue Anchor at 6pm, and either stay there til showtime or hop along to some other places further down the river. If you show up a bit late, you can follow me on Twitter for updates or just pop your head into the pubs to find us.

I’m not sure what the late-night options are for afterward, but I’ll be sure to Tweet if I end up somewhere fun!

And speaking of 9 Lessons, from the pub last night, I snapped this adorable beer-idolia:

  1. That was a great night .. Poor Johnny Ball seemed to be licking his wounds a bit, and man, it’s hard to get geeks to join in a rap.

Also, Sunday night, midnight, freezing temperatures : not the best time to attempt to get home… Finally collapsed into bed about 2am.

Overall, so glad I went again, but I definitely preferred the comparative intimacy of the Bloomsbury last year. Just need to get in earlier next time!!

Oh, one other thing, I was sat right near the front, and there was a family of 5 sat behind me, with kids probably aged 7-13… Not a massively child-friendly night, but respect to the parents for being happy (and they seemed happy) to expose their children to more adult content, both intellectually speaking, and linguistically speaking…

  2. Pretty epic night! Probably could have cut a couple of acts to slow things down a little. Quite glad I only listened to Johnny Ball’s global warming tirade on Little Atoms after seeing the show – would have put a bit of a dampener on his slot…

@flippy: Did one of those cheeky kids get away with 20 quid off Al Murray?
