  1. Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it.

I quite enjoyed talking to Eugenie. There were several instances where I got so interested in what she was saying, I forgot I was supposed to be interviewing her. And then I’d suddenly remember, “Oh, shit. I’m supposed to be progressing the conversation.”

  2. @Sam Ogden: “Oh, shit. I’m supposed to be progressing the conversation.”

Interviewing is hard, and the fact that people like Terry Gross make it look easy doesn’t help. I thought you did a great job.

  3. This certainly was a great interview.

In these days where even on the news the interviewer is portrayed as the “star” rather than the interviewee, it was a refreshing change to see an interview where the interviewer shuts the hell up and lets the interviewee speak.

Sam, you’re a natural at this, and I look forward to more of the same in the future!

  4. @Andrew Nixon: I agree wholeheartedly. I’ve seen lots of amateur interviewers and Sam’s a natural. It helps that he’s so familiar with the subject matter, too.

Hopefully any future interviews will go as smoothly.

  5. I was fortunate to hear Dr. Scott speak at the recent AAI conference in Burbank. She is such a terrific orator and this interview was an excellent reminder of the importance of the work being done by the NCSE.

    Great job, Sam!
