Comment o’ the Week!

Holy crap it’s Friday!

I know you’re all just as excited as me that this is the day I reveal the Comment o’ the Week, so I’ll just dive right in. This week’s winner was a tough choice because so many of you nominated your fellow commenters, but finally I decided to give the award to SKrap for this excellent use of poetry:

The Oompa-Loompa cove should be used to house the creationism exhibit:

Oompa Loompa Doompa Dee Doo
God is watching everything you do.
Oompa Loompa Trompety Turn
You’d best believe or You’re going to burn

Who do you blame when your kid reads a book
Science can’t hurt him he’ll just take a look
Its all your fault when he wants things explained
It was your job to hollow out his brain.

It’s the last line that really does it for me. Good job, SKrap! Your prize is to choose next Wednesday’s Afternoon Inquisition, which you can send in using the contact form.

Also, you (and everyone else) can get your own avatar by heading to Gravatar.com and uploading a picture and associating it with whatever email address you used to sign up here on Skepchick.

By the way, there are about a dozen COTW runners-up over on Elyse’s post H1N1, Sodomy, Autoerotica and You. Go read them.

As a reminder, anyone can nominate next week’s COTW: just click the arrow by their comment to reply to them, and write “COTW!”

Happy Friday, everyone!
