Hi again, Californians. Good news, bad news, double Drinking Skepchickally news.
Two weeks ago I had it all sorted out… going to the Geek Bonfire in San Diego, then going to Drink Skepchickally in San Fran… told you all about it…talked smack about it on Twitter…
Good news: The Geek Bonfire was awesomer the second time around.  Asking “What kind of geek are you?” started a whole discussion about potato chips and communism. (I’m guessing that’s a wonk geek.)  Thanks to hosts Gina Trapani and Mitch Wagner, especially the gallant Mitch, who hardly flinched when I told one too many TMI stories. (Quick shout out to Matt, my newest skeptical friend: congrats on 1A!!)
Bad news: All that smack talk about 11/13 DS SF, and I’m not even going to be there! Worse, I’ll be in San Fran at a client meeting, but not out with the cool kids. (Not to say that you’re not cool, dear clients, if you happen to be reading here.  You’re totally cool. Smart and good looking too.) However, The 500 Club is the winner of the Drinking Skepchickally official SF hangout, and I encourage all of you who were going next Thursday to go anyway: it seems to be a fun place, skepchicks will abound, and it will prepare you for….
Drinking Skepchickally, San Francisco, Wednesday, December 10, 2008. 7:00pm. The 500 Club, this time with 100% more a.real.girl!!   This one will have a special guest or two, local to San Fran, who I’ll fill you in on when we get closer to the event. Also, first round is on me for missing 11/13! One local who won’t make it is my pal malidragon, as she’ll be heading down San Diego way that day. To make it up to her, she suggested, and I agreed, that we simply must do:
Drinking Skepchickally, San Diego, Thursday, December 11, 2008. 7:00pm. The Fleetwood. Mali might have to be the one holding court, as I might be hanging from the night before, but it’s on: a Californian Drinking Skepchickally double header. Anyone who shows up in San Diego who was with us in San Fran will have all their drinks paid for by yours truly. (But, no, you can’t crash on my couch.)

Uhm Hi. Ive been out of the loop cause me and Buzzed Aldrin have been preparing our livers.
So I work Sat at the 500 from 12-5 & im covering a shift on Dec 1 at nightski.
