Boston Skeptics in the Pub: October 20!

I know, we just finished our fun drinky time with Blake Stacey’s marvelous September talk, but it’s time to look to the future: Sid Rodrigues of London Skeptics in the Pub will be gracing our stage in two short weeks!

Also, we have the opportunity to get together the following Monday (the 27th). Are you all tuckered out, or ready for more? We could have a costume party, spooky-themed skeptical trivia, or just a night of hanging out.

OR, we could have a costumed skeptical bar hop on Friday the 31st. Please, people, tell me what to do! (I’m soliciting comments here, on Facebook, and Boston Skeptics just to hedge my bets.) The full details of our October 20 event are after the jump!

WHO
This month’s guest speaker is Sid Rodrigues, speaking on the topic of How Tigger Lost His Boing: Molecular Quackery.

Sid is organizer of London’s Skeptics in the Pub and the UK’s The Skeptic Magazine. He’ll also give the crowd a brief overview of the history of Skeptics in the Pub.

  1. Nooooo! October sucks. =( I’m traveling for work on the SitP night, then I have PMRP Halloween show stuff on the 27th and the 31st.

Unless y’all wanna make Tomes of Terror part of the skeptical barhop. ;)

  2. Yeah, I’m cool with Tomes of Terror on Friday. I hadn’t decided which night to go yet anyway, so that’d be a good way to eliminate my indecision :)

As for other options, I’m up for meeting whenever, costumed or otherwise (even though my cop-out of a costume idea isn’t worth multiple uses and I don’t feel like getting another one unless it’s also a cop-out).
