Neil deGrasse Tyson Speaking in Houston

I apologize for using a full post to announce/remind you about this, but I’m a tool with the attention span of a paper clip, and forgot to add it to the Skepchick calendar. Neil deGrasse Tyson, the world’s hippest astrophysicist, host of PBS’ Nova series, director of the American Museum of Natural History’s Hayden Planetarium, and all around good guy will be speaking at the University of Houston’s Cullen Performance Hall on Wednesday, September 10, 2008.

Several members of the newly formed Greater Houston Skeptic Society will be attending. We’ve been informed that the event is general admission, so we’re going to try for an early arrival to get some kick ass seats.

Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at http://www.houstonpbs.org, or at the door. Hope to see you there.

  1. That would be such a wonderful speech to attend. If I didn’t live so far north in Texas that I was practically in another country I would be there and would drag my family along with.

  2. What the Hell! I live in Houston for four years and nothing, then three months after I move away y’all are having skeptical meetings and Neil deGrasse Tyson. Humph. Well, I’m going to Cern, I may even meet a poorly dancing physicist. Nyah.
